Risk vs Understanding
When the markets are volatile, do you know when to risk and when to seek understanding?
Nothing like a 1000-point range in a day to welcome new traders, eh?
Or even seasoned traders.
I initially wanted to talk about the basics of order flow and the market mechanics of limit/market orders, the basics of orderflow as the first letter, but there seems to be too good of an opportunity to talk about another fundamental topic.
Risk and understanding.
Each time you put a trade on, you take a risk. Doesn’t matter if you think it’s right or wrong; you’re placing your money on the line. Or a simulated amount of money.
I did not live through a time when I traded a major worldwide economic showdown. Tariffs. Taxes on other imports.
I have no idea what the expected outcomes should or should not be; I have only an idea of what can happen.
